Word to HTML conversion
WordHTML CV is an open source software funded by Technoriver that mass converts MS word documents into HTML files. It makes it easy even for people with no knowledge of HTML to produce professional-quality website.
Whether you need to publish a one-page press release or a long technical manual on the web, WordHTML CV is the fast, easy and automatic way to do it!
Using WordHTML CV is very easy. You drag and drop Word documents into WordHTML CV and wait for the conversion to complete. The converted files will be
placed in a folder next to the original document.
Why WordHTML CV?
WordHTML CV is able to do much more than Word's built-in "Save as HTML" feature. The folllowing are a lists of tasks in which WordHTML CV is especially well suited.
- Moving Word documents to the web. This is especially true for longer documents such as manuals and technical specifications, etc.
- Developing new documents which will need to be maintained in both printed and HTML format. WordHTML CV fully automates the Word to HTML conversion, you can use a Word document as a single source for both mediums. The conversion process is fast and extremely easy, so you can painlessly update the online version of your publication any time the Word source files change.
- Enabling users without knowledge of HTML, to easily produce sophisticated web pages from their Word documents.
- Creating Microsoft HTML Help publications for use on the web or as help systems for Windows applications.
Open Source
WordHTML CV is free and completely open source. You can inspect and modify its source if the existing implementation is not enough. The core conversion engine is written in VB Script and can be easily modified by users familiar with MS Word Macros.

This version updates the software with a MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) feature that facilitates the printing of checks using magnetic ink. A new datasource, known as Pick List, is introduced to let users define a list of items quickly as an alternative to database. Also, a few barcodes helpers are improved and the UCCEAN dialog has been extended to support custom application identifiers.
