TechnoRiver Releases MicroPDF417 Ready Barcode Software

Technoriver is pleased to announce the availability of TechnoRiverStudio 5.5. This version adds support for the MicroPDF417 barcode, which is used commonly in the health care industries.

With TechnoRiverStudio, users can print barcodes directly to a laser, inkjet or thermal printer. Furthermore, the software supports multi-language labels, allowing characters from different languages to be printed on a single label layout, thus enabling users to create labels targeted for the international market. There is no need for the downloading and installation of native fonts from the computer to the target printer for the special characters to be displayed.

TechnoRiverStudio's barcode engine is robust and highly accurate. It mplements the following barcodes used widely in the industry : CODE128, CODE39, CODE39 FULL ASCII, CODE93, EAN13, EAN8, I2OF5, ISBN (ISBN13), ISMN (13-digit), ISSN, MicroPDF417, MSI, ,POSTNET, RATIONAL CODABAR, GS1-128, GS1-DataBar (formerly RSS14), S2OF5, UCCEAN128, UPCA, UPCE, UPC Extension 2, UPC Extension 5, Royal Mail, Australian 4-State PDF417, QR Code, Micro QR and Datamatrix,USPS OneCode.

TechnoRiver MICR Font let users print checks automatically under different operating systems

TechnoRiver MICR (v2.0) is a font that implements the digits and special characters found at the bottom of a check. The font is based on the E13-B standard, which is used by the banking industry in the United States and many countries throughout the world. Organizations or bank account holders authorized to print their own checks can incorporate TechnoRiver MICR font into existing software infrastructure and automate check printing operations. In addition to the TrueType (.ttf) format, the font package also include formats like OpenType (.otf), WinType (.pfb) and ASCII (.pfa), which allows it to be used by different printers under different operating systems.

Technoriver updates barcode software with MICR capability

TechnoRiver is pleased to announce the release of SmartCodeStudio version 4.0, the latest update to its industry-leading label design and barcode printing software.

SmartCodeStudio is among the first of its class to introduce MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) capability to barcode and labeling software. TechnoRiver believes MICR will add significant value to its customers, many whom are using laser printers to create complex barcode labels. When printed through magnetic ink the MICR feature let these users print checks directly within SmartCodeStudio.

MICR is used widely in the banking industry for checks processing. SmartCodeStudio's MICR feature supports the E13B standard, which is used widely and the United States and many other countries.

Apart from MICR, the update also includes a new datasource, known as Pick List and adds a couple of other improvements like barcode helpers and extended UCCEAN support.
